Highlights of Tublay

Tublay is the quiet municipality north of La Trinidad on the Halsema Highway, with cool-climate farm lots around Acop and Caponga about forty minutes from Baguio.

Location and access

The Halsema Highway passes Acop junction, where the road to Kapangan and Kibungan branches off. Caponga is the seat of government; Ambassador, Ba-ayan, Basil, Daclan, Tuel and Tublay Central are the other barangays.

Climate and land

Tublay shares La Trinidad’s cool highland climate at a slightly higher elevation. Land is mostly agricultural, terraced for vegetables and cut flowers, with home sites on the ridges facing the highway.

Nature

The Bengaongao and Paterno caves and the Ambongdolan area are the local attractions; the municipality markets itself as a farm-tourism destination.
