Itogon property guide
Highlights of Itogon
Itogon borders Baguio to the east and southeast; Tuding and Virac are minutes from Pacdal along the Ambuklao Road, and the old mining barangays offer some of the lowest land prices near the city.
- Closest barangays to Baguio
- Tuding sits on the Ambuklao Road just past Baguio’s Pacdal and Mines View area, and Virac and Poblacion are a short drive further. Loacan in Itogon (not to be confused with Baguio’s Loakan) lies to the south.
- Mining heritage
- Itogon grew around the Benguet gold mines at Antamok, Acupan and Ucab. Housing in the mining barangays is dense and inexpensive; buyers should expect narrow access roads and check land classification carefully.
- Dams and rivers
- The Agno River runs through the municipality, feeding Binga Dam in Tinongdan; Ambuklao Dam sits just upstream on the Bokod boundary. Riverside barangays such as Dalupirip and Tinongdan are farming and fishing communities.
- Who buys here
- Baguio workers looking for a cheaper house-and-lot within a jeepney ride of the city, and buyers of larger agricultural lots downriver.
